Managing a fleet efficiently requires real-time tracking, seamless route planning and structured data management. The system needed to allow users to select a starting and destination point, assign a vehicle and driver, and generate a clear and optimized route. Fleet administrators also required an intuitive dashboard with graphical insights into fleet status, route details and customer activity. Smooth data processing, notifications and export features were further key challenges.

The application was developed with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) to provide a scalable and efficient architecture. The React Leaflet library was integrated to handle start and destination input, enabling interactive map-based route selection. Once a route is created, its details are stored and made accessible from the routes page. An automated email notification system keeps customers updated when a route is created, and all routes can be saved and downloaded in Excel format, improving data accessibility and record-keeping.

The fleet management system now provides an intuitive and efficient way to create and manage routes. Customers can seamlessly select their routes, assign vehicles and drivers, and receive instant updates. The admin dashboard displays fleet statistics and route statuses with graphical insights, improving decision-making. With the ability to store and export routes, fleet operators can maintain comprehensive records, leading to improved efficiency and service quality.
